Next in our employee series, we would like to spotlight Fiona Hanley.
Fiona recently joined our Safe Harbor Pollution Insurance team as an account assistant, where she plays an essential role, communicating with brokers, processing requests, and issuing policies. What’s more, she was our very first remote interviewee and hire.
During her first meeting with Fiona, Underwriting Operations Manager, Joan Hencler, says she was instantly impressed with Fiona’s professionalism and “knew she would fit in well with our team’s emphasis on providing exceptional customer service in the industry.”
As for her personal experience joining the Safe Harbor team remotely, Fiona describes the hiring and onboarding process as much easier than anticipated.
“Having no prior experience in this field, I was worried about how quickly I would be able to learn and understand different processes and procedures,” she says. However, “Everyone on my team has been extremely helpful and made themselves available to answer any questions I have had.”
“Even while working from home,” Fiona explains, “Everyone continues to work toward the same goal and works together to provide quality customer service for our clients.” She says her favorite part about joining the team is “the welcoming environment and the opportunity to grow professionally and personally.”
Before joining Safe Harbor, Fiona worked as a legal secretary in a law office. When Fiona isn’t busy overseeing accounts, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, traveling, and trying new things.
