Safe Harbor's Spill Response Network

Posted: Mar 27, 2019 9:03:00 AM

A spill response network activates and deploys organizations, equipment, and communications when an incident occurs. Every second counts in these situations and the network’s goal is to mitigate as much damage as possible, as quickly as possible.

Safe Harbor offers the largest spill response network in the industry, allowing us to respond faster than any other carrier in those crucial first moments of an event.

Our solutions include:

  • Spill Reporting: We offer a 24/7 manned hotline to report a spill. A call activates our global team of spill managers, as well as the claims response process. We also assist in notifying governmental bodies on our client’s behalf and work in tandem with the authorities to provide the best response.

  • Clean Up: We work closely with both spill managers and Oil Spill Response Organizations (OSROs) across the globe to expedite the cleanup of spills.

  • Cost Accounting: Our cost accounting system tracks all deployed or reserved equipment and resources on site, in real time to implement rigorous financial control measures. We also provide the ability to be reimbursed through the National Pollution Fund Center where applicable.

  • Damage Mitigation: Our spill managers are experts and go on-scene to manage and direct the use of resources, take cost control, and partner with governmental bodies.

Our network was personally assembled by Sean Quinn, Safe Harbor’s vice president of Claims. The spill management teams we’ve partnered with are the best of the best—they’re established experts in their region, with deep knowledge of the local environmental, economic, and political conditions. For example, ES&H and Forefront Emergency Management are two of our spill response partners, both of which are known for their professionalism and efficiency.

At Safe Harbor, we believe you get the best resources and results when you work with top- caliber partners that form a rock-solid network. To learn more about our industry-leading spill response strategies, click here.
