In this article, we’re continuing our team spotlight series and would like to introduce you to Rebeca Broz. Rebeca joined Safe Harbor in 2016 and has been an important part of our team’s success.

As underwriting technical assistant, Rebeca processes, updates, and reviews our policies. She supports our clients and helps them troubleshoot issues, while building a strong rapport with brokers. Rebeca also performs special reporting and is generally responsible for being extremely organized.  

Internally for Safe Harbor, Rebeca leads the quarterly team activities—such as volunteering, hiking, scavenger hunts—and contributes to the company newsletter.

Rebeca’s manager, Joan Hencler, says, “Rebeca has been with us for 3 years now and we are lucky to have her.  Her positive attitude and flexibility make her a pleasure to work with. She is very dependable, team-oriented and always willing to step up and take initiative when needed.”

Prior to joining Safe Harbor, Rebeca worked in the health insurance industry, primarily focusing on Medicare group benefits and Medicare Plan D accounts. She’s also an ex-reservist for the U.S. Army, where she was a supply specialist.

Rebeca earned her associate degree from the University of Phoenix in Liberal Arts, with a specialty in Medical Billing and Coding. She’s an outdoor enthusiast and animal lover, spending her spare time in the fresh air with furry friends.
