Safe Harbor’s experienced vessel pollution insurance team knows the industry inside and out. Each person is an expert on the space and treats our clients like partners—for us, it’s personal and our team reflects that philosophy.
To help you get to know us better, we’re continuing our team introductions this month with a feature on Jillian Tetreault. Jillian joined Safe Harbor as an underwriting account assistant in April 2014 and has quickly proven her affinity for the business.
“I knew I was going to hire Jillian before the interview was over,” says Joan Hencler, underwriting operations manager. “She has an exceptional work ethic and plays an integral role in helping our day-to-day operations run at such a high level. We strive to distinguish ourselves by the customer service we provide in the market and Jillian is a true reflection of this.”
Jillian has moved up rapidly in Safe Harbor. She was promoted from underwriting account assistant to underwriting technical assistant in September 2015, obtained her producers license in February 2016, and most recently was promoted to deputy underwriter in January 2018. In her current role, Jillian is responsible for underwriting renewal accounts, and providing documents and communication to clients on all manner of items.
“At Safe Harbor, we put customer service for our brokers and assureds as top priority. Jillian came on board and embraced our philosophy. She has really set the standard for our service,” says Tony Gerone, one of Safe Harbor’s founding partners.
Jillian received her underwriting authority this past summer and plans to continue expanding her skills and expertise in the industry. Prior to Safe Harbor, Jillian was a teller supervisor at BankNewport for four years and holds an Associate of Science in Business.
